Our year 1 children have just enjoyed their first trip to Shugborough Hall.
We spent time in the kitchen and the laundry. We looked at the horse drawn carriages and popped into the Pharmacy, the puppet makers and the dress shop.

My favorite part of the day was seeing the children dressed as Victorians, and taking part in the activities in the kitchen and laundry. The children helped cook make some cakes, they helped chop the cherries, grate the nutmeg and some children helped with the mixture.

I am in Year 6 now, I remember dressing up in my Victorian outfit.
I enjoyed the trip to Shugborough, I especially liked the kitchen I remember scrapping some sugar off a large sugar cone which stood in the kitchen.
Did any children go to see the dentist? it was scary! There were lots of scary tools they used to take teeth out!
I am glad you had a good day, my Mum and Dad took all my family to Shugborough in the holiday. It was a great day out.

I remember going to Shugborough Hall, we all dressed up. The weather was sunny, we ate our lunch outside on the grass, we played circle games.
It was a hot day and the fire in the kitchen made the room really hot! we made some cakes just like you did, I remember taking them back to school we had them at story time. I had a lovely day:0)

WE can remember going into an old school, their was a man there, he was nasty and strict, but he only pretended.
Two people went into the kitchen to make biscuits.

we had a lovely time at shugborough. kiera is in class 9 and her favourite part of the day was making sweets in the kitchen. we are hoping to return in the summer holidays.
